Roku Releases Michael Fabiano’s Documentary ‘Crescendo!’

Roku has released “Crescendo,” a short documentary about famed tenor Michael Fabiano and his journey to come out as a gay opera singer.

The documentary deals with the significance of being a gay leading artist in the world of opera and was produced by Perri Peltz and Matt O’Neil. Alex Mallis directed the short which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and DOC NYC Festival.

When the film was first announced in 2020 Fabiano said, “It’s called CRESCENDO and tracks the poignant issues of identity through my lens. The production team headed by director and producer Alex Mallis and also produced by the incredible Perri Peltz have made something powerful, beautiful, and aspirational and I hope you all will enjoy it. I’m proud of everyone’s hard work and dedication to our project and feel blessed to have worked with such a terrific team.”
