The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama has announced its online summer program which will feature performances by some of opera’s greatest and upcoming stars.

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be mainly on operatic performances.

First up, baritone Gerald Finley will present a performance as part of the Schubert Song series. He will be accompanied by Simon Lepper. The duo will take on Schubert’s “Schwanengesang.”

Performance Date: May 29, 2021

Baritone Roderick Williams will take the stage alongside The Albion Quartet. The showcase will feature Beethoven’s String Quartet, Op. 59 No. 2 as well as Barber’s “Dover Beach.”

Performance Date: June 26, 2021

The showcase will also feature several other experimental and jazz performances as well performances by such notable pianists as Imogen Cooper and Llyr Williams.
