The Staatsoper Hamburg has announced an upcoming concert by tenor Roberto Alagna.

The concert, entitled “THE ART OF Roberto Alagna,” will feature music by a wide variety of composers ranging from Händel to Wagner. Alagna will be joined onstage by pianist Morgane Fauchois-Prado.

Alagna is broadly regarded as one of the greatest living tenors. His huge voice and theatrical prowess have made him a fixture at the world’s greatest opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera House, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Opéra National de Paris, Wiener Staatsoper, Teatro alla Scala, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Staatsoper Unter den Linden, and Bayerische Staatsoper, among many others.

Alagna is scheduled to appear in the role of Mario Cavaradossi in Puccini’s “Tosca” at the Metropolitan Opera House in March 2022, and the title role in Wagner’s “Lohengrin” at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in April and May 2022. The tenor will return to the Teatro alla Scala in the role of the Count Loris Ipanov in Giordano’s “Fedora” in October 2022.

The concert will take place on Nov. 12, 2021.
