Roberto Alagna, Elsa Dreisig & Aleksandra Kurzak Highlight Les Grandes Voix February 2022 Concerts

Les Grandes Voix has announced the upcoming concerts in February 2022.

Tenor Roberto Alagna and soprano Aleksandra Kurzak will give a special concert at the Philharmonie de Paris on Feb. 14, 2022. The two singers will perform arias and duets from Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly,” Ponchielli’s “La Gioconda,” Puccini’s “Tosca,” Verdi’s “Aida” and “Don Carlo,” Catalani’s “La Wally,” Friedrich von Flotow’s “Martha,” and Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana.” David Giménez Carreras conducts the Belgian National Orchestra.

Soprano Elsa Dreisig will perform music from such Mozart operas as “Le nozze di Figaro,” “Così fan tutte,” “Don Giovanni,” “Lucio Silla,” and “La clemenza di Tito.” The recital will take place at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées on Feb. 17, 2022. Baptiste Lopez conducts the Orchestre de chambre de Bâle.

Thus far in the 2021-22 season, Les Grandes Voix has hosted performances featuring soprano Pretty Yende, tenor Juan Diego Flórez, tenor Benjamin Bernheim, and baritone Benjamin Appl. Next up in January, soprano Jodie Devos and mezzo-soprano Adèle Charvet are slated to perform Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater” on Jan. 25, 2022.
