Roberto Abbado is set to be a guest on Massimo Bernardini’s salotto musicale “Nessun dorma.”

The program, which will be broadcast on Rai 5 on Nov. 8, 2021, will showcase Abbado in a dicussion about the world of opera and music and the challenges of the genre. There will also be a dialogue about opera and pop which will also feature vocalist Irene Grandi.

The show is by Massimo Bernardini, Filippo Arriva, Giorgio Cappozzo, Sebastiano Pucciarelli, Luca Amabile Stifano and with Beba Maturo, Carla Moreni, Linda Ovena, Giulia Sodi.

Abbado is the Festival Verdi’s Music Director and is well known for his Verdi and Bel Canto interpretations. He has conducted at the Metropolitan Opera, Maggio Musicale, Teatro alla Scala, Paris Opera, Wiener Staatsoper, Rossini Opera Festival, and Salzburg Festival, among others.
