‘Rigoletto’ Rained Out at Arena di Verona

By Francisco Salazar

The Arena di Verona’s performance of “Rigoletto” on August 4 was canceled halfway through due to a downpour.

The performance marked Piotr Beczala’s debut at the Arena di Verona and also starred Nadine Sierra and Amartuvshin Enkhbat.

As a result of the canceled performances all spectators will be able to return for a performance of the Arena di Verona Opera Festival 2023 by requesting a ticket at the symbolic price of € 2.50 in the same seat category or lower purchased for the performance.

Beczala next performs at the Arena on August 11 in “Carmen,” while Sierra takes on “La Traviata” on August 26. Enkhbat return to a production of “Aida” on Sept. 3.
