Richmond Symphony has announced that Eboni Boadi is its next Chief Development Officer. She takes over her new position on May 13, 2024.

In her new position, Boadi will “create, manage and execute comprehensive development strategies to ensure long-term, sustainable growth and financial resources supporting the Symphony’s vision to change lives through the power of music.” As a representative of the Symphony in the community, she will also be in charge of implementing the fundraising strategies and managing board and volunteer committees, among other tasks.

“Music is an avenue through which people feel seen, inspired, and united,” Boadi, a life-long musician and seasoned fundraiser who has worked as Vice President of Philanthropy for the Student Conservation Association, said in an official press release issued by the company. “Leading the Richmond Symphony’s efforts to ensure it has every investment it needs, and in the right places, would be one way for me to pay it forward to the next little pig-tailed girl who has yet to discover her talents. We can shape the process, together, just like others did for me.”

“We are exhilarated to welcome Eboni Boadi as our new Chief Development Officer,” added Lacey Huszcza, Executive Director of the Richmond Symphony. “With her proven track record in philanthropic management and her unparalleled ability to foster deeper donor engagement, I have every confidence that she will play a pivotal role in driving our strategic vision forward. Eboni’s expertise, along with her commitment to foster community partnerships, aligns seamlessly with our values, and I eagerly anticipate the impact she will undoubtedly bring to our team and the communities we serve.”
