Richard Ollarsaba to Headline New Philharmonic’s New Year’s Eve Concerts

The New Philharmonic has announced its New Year’s Eve Concerts.

The organization will present three showcases at 1:30 p.m., 5 p.m., and 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023. All three concerts will star bass-baritone Richard Ollarsaba who will perform music from “Carmen,” as well as other holiday favorites as “Hymne a l’Amour,” “Long Before I Knew You,” and “Auld Lang Syne.”

The program will also include favorites by Johann Strauss Jr. and Edward Strauss, among others.

Ollarsaba is a winner of the American Opera Society of Chicago 2015 best Vocalist Award and was also a finalist in the 2013 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. He has also performed with Opera Hong Kong, New Zealand Opera, Minnesota Opera, Opera Grand Rapids, and Opera Carolina.
