Riccardo Muti, Francesco Meli & Luca Salsi Headline Teatro dell’Opera di Roma’s Verdi Streams

The Teatro dell’Opera di Roma has teamed RMMUSIC (riccardomutimusic.com) to showcase three Verdi operas.

The works, which are all conducted by Riccardo Muti, will be available to stream for two months on the company’s Youtube page and Riccardo Muti’s official website.

Here is a look.

The presentation will be “Simon Boccanegra from the 2012-13 season. The production by Adrian Noble stars George Petean in the title role of Simon Boccanegra, Maria Agresta as Amelia, Dmitri Beloselskiy as Jacopo Fiesco, and Francesco Meli as Gabriele Adorno

Streaming Date: April 28, 2020

Ernani will be followed with a production from the 2013-14 season. The production by Hugo de Ana is headlined by Luca Salsi as Carlo, Tatiana Serjan as Elvira, Francesco Meli as the title role of Ernani, and Ildar Abdrazakov as de Silva.

Streaming Date: May 5, 2020

The Verdi cycle will conclude withNabucco in a production from 2011. The production by Jean-Paul Scarpitta stars Luca Salsi in the title role, Francesco Meli as Ismaele, Riccardo Zanellato as Zaccaria, Tatiana Serjan as Abigaille, and Sonia Ganassi as Fenena.
