
Riccardo Muti Cancels Grafenegg Festival Concert Due to Medical Procedure

The festival announced the news stating, ” Riccardo Muti has had to cancel his conducting of the closing concert of this year’s Grafenegg Festival on 6 September. On medical advice, he will undergo a necessary medical procedure.”
As a result, Rudolf Buchbinder, who is scheduled to perform Mozart Piano Concertos will also conduct.
Muti recently conducted Verdi’s “Requiem” at the Salzburg Festival. Muti is set to return to the stage in October for concerts with the Vienna Philharmonic followed by concerts with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, among others.
