Ricardo José Rivera Joins Sempre Artists for Management

By Francisco Salazar

Ricardo José Rivera has joined Sempre Artists for General Management.

Recently Rivera was seen in Teatro Nuovo’s modern premiere of Carolina Uccelli’s “Anna di Resburgo.” OperaWire noted, “Rivera rounded out the main trio and arguably stole the show from everyone with a tremendous ability to clearly delineate Norcesto’s character arc.”

This season he will sing the title role of Macbeth in the rarely-performed 1847 version at Teatro Nuovo, Conte di Luna in concert performances of “Il trovatore” with Opera Colorado, and Conte Stankar in “Stiffelio” at the Sarasota Opera.

He is also set to perform “Pagliacci” at the Pittsburgh Opera, “L’elisir d’Amore” at the Florida Grand Opera, and “Madama Butterfly” with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic.

He is a recent alumnus of the Ryan Opera Center at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
