Rhode Island Civic Chorale & Orchestra Unveils 2024-25 Season

The Rhode Island Civic Chorale & Orchestra has unveiled its 2024-25 season.

The season opens with three performances of Händel’s “Messiah” at Block Island, Providence, and Manville.

Performance Dates: Nov. 16 – Dec. 8, 2024

Then comes “Essential Voices” in Providence.

Performance Dates: March 30, 2025

Closing out the season are Requiems by Howells and Duruflé. There will be one performance in Cranston followed by another in Worcester.

Performance Dates: May 17 & 18, 2025

The Rhode Island Civic Chorale & Orchestra was established in 1957 by Dr. Louis Pichierri, who led the ensemble until his passing in 1972. Then it was led by as Ronald Morris, Robert Bass, and Edward Markward, the latter of whom conducted the ensemble for 32 years until retiring in June 2019. Dr. Joshua W. Rohde is the current Music Director and Conductor of the ensemble.
