Renée Fleming is set to make her London Musical debut.

After her critically acclaimed production of “Carousel,” Fleming will headline a London production of “The Light in the Piazza,” set to begin performances at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall on June 14, 2019.

Fleming will play Margaret Johnson alongside Dove Cameron as Margaret’s daughter Clara. The full cast will be announced at a later time. Meanwhile, Olivier Award-winning actor and director Daniel Evans will direct the semi-staged production with performances scheduled through July 5.

Fleming received her first Tony Award this year for her Broadway debut and recorded a Broadway album for Decca Classics.

The soprano recently went on tour having opened the Carnegie Hall 2018-19 season and will kick off New Year’s Eve with the New York Philharmonic. She will also perform in Europe next year.
