Renee Fleming, Sabine Devielhe & Lise Davidsen Lead Orchestre de Paris’ 2020-21 Season

The Orchestre de Paris has announced its 2020-21 season.

For this article we will focus only on vocal performances.

Elisabeth Kulman and Mari Eriksmoen perform Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 Resurrection with Klaus Makela conducting.

Performance Date: Nov. 18 & 19, 2020

Daniel Harding conducts Mahler’s Symphony No. 8 starring Erin Wall, Christopher Maltman, Shenyang, Andrew Staples, Marina Prudenskaya, Jamie Barton, Siobhan Stagg, and Johanni Von Oostrum.

Performance Dates: Dec. 22 & 23, 2020

Karina Canellakis conducts a program of works by Paart, Mozart, and Janacek. The program will also include soloists Ausrine Stundyte, Jennifer Johnston, Stefan Vinke, and Mikhail Petrenko.

Performance Dates: Jan. 13 & 14, 2021

Ludovic Morlot conducts Audrey Luna and Aude Extremo in a program of works by Boulez, Debussy, and Ravel. The program will also showcase Pierre-Laurent Aimard and the Choer de la Radio Lettone.

Performance Dates: Jan. 20 & 21, 2021

Irene Theorin stars in R.Strauss’ “Elektra” with Lise Davidsen, Anna Larson, Stefan Vinke, and Pexiin Chen. Esa-Pekka Salonen conducts.

Performance Dates: Feb. 12 & 14, 2021

Renée Fleming and Christoph Eschenbach team up for a program of R. Strauss, Brahms, and Boulanger.

Performance Dates: March 10 & 11, 2021

Pablo-Heras Casado conducts Sabine Devielhe in a program with works by Ravel.

Performance Dates: March 24 & 25, 2021

Marie-Nicole Lemieux and Loic Felix star in Berlioz’s “Roméo et Juliette” with Vincent Le Texier. Francois Xavier Roth conducts the performances.

Performance Dates: April 7 & 8, 2021

Sabine Devielhe sings Poulenc’s Gloria with Lorenzo Viotti conducting. The concert also includes works by Ravel.
