Renée Fleming, Camila Tilling Headline Oregon Symphony’s 2022-23 Season

The Oregon Symphony has announced its 2022-23 season.

For the purposes of this article our focus will be solely on vocal performances.

The season opens with a concert starring soprano Renée Fleming. The famed diva will perform Kevin Puts’ “The Brightness of Light” alongside baritone Rod Gilfry. The showcase will include Elgar’s “Enigma Variations” and the overture to “West Side Story.” David Danzmayr conducts.

Performance Dates: Sept. 24-26, 2022 

The Pacific Youth Choir will headline a concert featuring the “Magic of Mozart.” The performance will include music from such works as “The Magic Flute” and “Don Giovanni.”

Performance Dates: Nov. 13, 2022

The Oregon Chorale will join the orchestra for “Comfort & Joy.”

Performance Dates: Dec. 7, 2022 

Charles Floyd will conduct the Oregon Symphony and Northwest Community Gospel Chorus in a concert of Christmas music.

Performance Dates: Dec. 10-11, 2022

Leo Hussain will conduct “Carmina Burana.” The showcase will also include Hindemith’s “Mathis der Maler” Symphony.

Performance Dates: Feb. 25-27, 2023 

Soprano Camila Tilling will headline a concert featuring Golijov’s “Three Songs for Soprano and Orchestra” and Mahler’s Fourth Symphony. David Danzmayr conducts.

Performance Dates: April 22-24, 2023
