Renée Fleming & Bryn Terfel Join Richard Tucker Gala

The Richard Tucker Music Foundation has announced two additional performers for its Richard Tucker Gala on Nov. 13.

The foundation said that American soprano Renée Fleming and Welsh bass-baritone Bryn Terfel will join the evening at the new David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center.

Terfel and Fleming will join 2022 Richard Tucker Award Winner Angel Blue, mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato, soprano Christine Goerke, soprano Angela Meade, soprano Nadine Sierra, tenor Stephen Costello, tenor Michael Fabiano, bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green, baritone Reginald Smith, Jr., tenor Russell Thomas, and bass-baritone Christian Van Horn.

Joining the featured artists are members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and the New York Choral Society. Speranza Scappucci will conduct.

The Gala concert program will highlight a variety of beloved operatic repertoire, including works from Bizet’s “Carmen,” Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess,” Gounod’s “Romeo et Juliette,” Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro,” Puccini’s “La bohème,” and Verdi’s “Aida,” among other operas.
