René Pape to Perform This Saturday in IDAGIO’s Global Concert Hall

Bass René Pape will perform this Saturday, March 27, in IDAGIO’s Global Concert Hall series.

The event, which starts at 8 p.m. CET, will feature the Grammy Award-winning opera star performing Dvořák’s “Biblical Songs.” Pape will also recite texts in German (with English subtitles).

He will be perform alongside such musicians as pianist Katharina Pfeiffer, violinists Annekathrin Rammelt and Constanze Sandmann, violist Andreas Kuhlmann, cellist Christian Bergert, double bassist Andreas Dude, and oboist Arnfried Falck.

The event, which will last around 45 minutes, was filmed by his son, filmmaker and director Leopold Pape, at the Maria am Wasser Church in Dresden.

Later on in 2021, Pape is set to appear at the Oper Leipzig for a production of “Parsifal” followed by “Boris Godunov” at the Metropolitan Opera and a reduced version of “Tristan und Isolde” at the Verbier Festival.

Audiences can buy tickets for the performance here. Through IDAGIO’s Fair Artist Payout Model, 80 percent of net revenue goes directly to artists.

The stream will be available to watch until Dec. 31, 2021.
