Regina Opera Announces ‘Salute To Broadway’

By Francisco Salazar

The Regina Opera has announced its New Year’s concert “Salute to Broadway.”

The company announced that on Feb. 4, 2018, at 3 p.m., Regina Opera will start its 2018 Sunday Concert Series with a 2-hour concert of classic and contemporary Broadway selections and Italian songs.

The concert will feature soprano Abigail Mitchell, soprano Sabrina Palladino, tenor José Heredia, tenor Juan del Bosco, baritone Danny Oakden, bass Kofi Hayford and flutist Richard Paratley. Pianist Victoria Ulanovskaya will accompany the singers in what should be a memorable concert.

The Regina Opera recently opened its season with Verdi’s “La Traviata” and is set to present Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” in March. The company closes its repertory season with four performances of Verdi’s “Aida.”

The Regina Opera is supported by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council.  Major support is provided by New York City Council Member Carlos Menchaca.
