Regents Opera Announces New Venue & Dates for ‘Ring Cycle’

By David Salazar

Regents Opera has announced that it will be moving the location of its performances of Wagner’s Ring Cycle.

The company revealed that it had heard from Freemasons’ Hall that operational changes since an agreement was made in 2021 made it impossible for the venue to host the 2024 cycle. As such, the company has moved the venue to York Hall in Bethnal Green.

“This unique venue allows us to keep the up close, in the round staging we have had for our Ring Cycle performances so far, dare we say, with a lower gallery with incredible views and many seats no more than five rows back, it’ll be even more intimate,” the company said in its statement.

The dates have also changed. The first cycle opens on Feb. 9, 2025, and runs through the 16th. Meanwhile, the second cycle begins on Feb. 23, 2025, and ends on March 2, 2025.
