Redivivus Opera is set to present “Haute Mess,” an online concert presenting the music of Felix Jarrar, Cole Porter, Kurt Weill, and others.

The concert is scheduled to stream on YouTube on July 7, 2021 at 7:00 pm EDT, and will feature crossover soprano Laura Isabella, with Jarrar accompanying on the piano.

Jarrar, who has written nearly 120 pieces, including over 100 art songs, two string quartets, and an oratorio, will showcase several pieces, including an aria from the jazz opera, “Tabula Rasa,” written by Jarrar with librettist Bea Goodwin.

Equally comfortable singing the operatic repertoire as she is musical theater, Isabella has sung with Opera on Tap NYC, New York Dramatic Voices, CoOPERAtive, and Westminster Opera Theatre, among others.

Redivivus Opera is a newly formed hybrid opera platform for artists to showcase their talents in a safe and nurturing space. Redivivus Opera fosters the artist’s ability to transcend adversity, especially that brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
