Ravenna Festival Announces 2025 Season

The Ravenna Festival has announced its 2025 season. Here are the vocal performances for the season.

Summer Season 

Riccardo Muti conducts selections from Verdi’s Nabucco, Macbeth, and I “I Lombardi alla prima crociata.” Davide Cavalli is the soloist.

Performance Dates: June 1 & 2, 2025

The Tallis Scholars under Peter Phillips perform Palestrina and Arvo Pärt.

Performance Date: June 1, 2025

The season will include “Another Bach in the Wall.”

Performance Date: June 2, 2025

Stradella’s “San Giovanni Battista” will star Silvia Frigato, Dorota Szczepanska, Danilo Pastore, Roberto Manuel Zangari, and Masashi Tomosugi. Andrea De Carlo will conduct the Ensemble Mare Nostrum.

Performance Date: June 4, 2025

The Ensemble Vocale Odhecaton performs Scarlatti and Palestrina.

Performance Date: June 8, 2025

“Rut: Raccolti di speranza” by Marianna Acito will be conducted by Mattia Dattolo and will star Laura Zecchini, Daniela Pini, and Angelo Testori.

Performance Dates: June 10-16, 2025

Gruppo Vocale Heinrich Schütz under choirmaster Roberto Bonato perform Missa Aeterna Christi munera by Palestrina.

Performance Date: June 15, 2025

The festival will present Concerto per il Giubileo.

Performance Date: June 27, 2025

Alessio Boni narrates a program entitled “La Traviata sono io” with music performed by Duo Miroirs.

Performance Date: June 29, 2025

Gilberto Cappelli’s “Anita” will be conducted by Marco Angius and will star Chiara Guerra and Alberto Petricca.

Performance Date: July 4, 2025

Autumn Trilogy 

Handel’s “Orlando” will be conducted by Ottavio Dantone and directed by Pier Luigi Pizzi.

Performance Dates: Nov. 12 & 14, 2025

Ottavio Dantone conducts Handel’s “Alcina” in Pier Luigi Pizzi’s production.

Performance Date: Nov. 13 & 15, 2025

Ottavio Dantone conducts Händel’s Messiah.
