The Ravenna Festival has announced its 2023 season. Here is a look at the vocal performances of the season.

The Orchestra dell’Accademia del Teatro alla Scala and Solists of the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala will be conducted by Donato Renzetti. The program includes music by Donizetti, Wagner, Gounod, and Verdi.

Performance Date: June 13, 2023

The Cappella Musicale della Basilica di San Francesco will perform under Giuliano Amadei.

Daniela Pini and Ecce Novum perform Testori’s “Interrogatorio a Maria.”

Performance Date: June 20-25, 2023

The King’s Singers will perform alongside Andrea Berardi.

The King’s Singers performs Songbirds. The program includes from Schubert to the Beatles.

Aleksandar Marković conducts soprano Iwona Sobotka and soloists Valentina Benfenati, Marcel Markowski, and Filippo Gorini in a program of music by Beethoven, Penderecki, and Górecki.

Testori’s “I Promessi sposi alla prova” will be directed by Andrée Ruth Shammah. The cast includes Giovanni Crippa, Federica Fracassi, Filippo Lai, Claudia Ludovica Marino, Nina Pons, Sebastiano Spada, and Carlina Torta.

Ludus Vocalis will be conducted by Stefano Sintoni.

Performance Date: July 2, 2023

The Stabant Matres by Paolo Marzocchi feature the Coro Ecce Novum and the Ensemble Tempo Primo.

Riccardo Muti conducts the Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini and soloist Filippo Mineccia in a concert featuring music by Gluck, Verdi, and Brahms.

Antonio Greco conducts Antonio Caldara’s “Stabat Mater” and Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Messa in sol minore.”
