Queeratura Opera Collective will present “Plümage, A Queer Avian Opera Pastiche” on Oct. 18, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist in San Francisco, CA.

The work is a parable that explores outrage and grief and the path toward uplift and balm.

“As our story unfolds, you’ll meet a flock of diverse birds, who face oppression & captivity,” the company notes in a press release for the event. “Together, might we witness them break free & return to their natural state of revelry, fabulosity & flight?”
