Ildar Abdrazakov has been named People’s Artist of Russia, the highest honor for a Russian musician and further showing his support for Putin.

The Putin supporter took to social media posting a picture of himself with Putin stating, “Dear friends! I have good news to share. Today by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation I have been awarded the title of People’s Artist of Russia. It is a great honor, and I am truly grateful to everyone who has been there along the way.”

He added, “Thanks to my teachers, colleagues, friends, family, parents and of course the audience. Your support always gives me strength and inspires to go on. I continue to do what I love – ministering to music.”

This is the latest award Abdrazakov receives for the Russian Dictator since endorsing him. Abdrazakov was named the General Director of the controversial Sevastopol State Opera and Ballet and was named Member of Russia’s Presidential Council.

Since his endorsement of Putin, the bass has been banned from performing in the West but has been able to perform alongside Riccardo Muti in Japan and at the Ravenna Festival.
