Puccini Festival Announces 2022 Season

The Puccini Festival at the Torre del Lago in Italy has announced its 2022 season.

The festival will be held between July 15 and August 27, 2022 and marks teh first festival in two years following the pandemic.

The festival opens with “Madama Butterfly” which will be directed by Manu Lalli. Alberto Veronesi conducts.

Performance Dates: July 15-August 6, 2022

Daniele Abbado directs “Turandot” with sets by Angelo Linzalata.

Performance Dates: July 23-August 20, 2022

Enrico Calesso directs a new production of “Tosca.”

Performance Dates: July 16-August 26, 2022

“La Rondine” will be presented in a new production.

Performance Dates: August 19 & 27, 2022

The festival will also include symphonic concerts, dance, drama, and activities for young artists. Casts will be announced at a later date.
