Pretty Yende is set to inaugrate the Bilbao Opera on Oct. 9 at the Euskalduna Bilbao.

The concert will mark Yende’s Bilbao debut and will see the coloratura soprano perform scenes and arias by Bellini, Donizetti, Rossini, and Liszt. The soprano will perform from such operas “La Sonnambula,” “Linda di Chamonix,” and “Il Viaggo a Reims.”

The soprano will be joined by Italian pianist Michele d’Elia, who will also make his Bilbao debut and will perform a solo piece from Massenet’s “Thais.”

The Bilbao Opera’s auditorium will be open to a full audience of 1,500.

This season the Bilbao Opera will perform “Les Contes d’Hoffmann,” “Alzira,” “La Clemenza di Tito,” “Madama Butterfly,” “Cavalleria Rusticana,” “Pagliacci,” “La Voix Humaine,” and “Rossini’ Stabat Mater among others.
