Pretty Yende Appointed Ambassador of Dior

By Francisco Salazar

Pretty Yende has been appointed ambassador of Dior.

The soprano will be an ambassador for Maria Grazia Chiuri’s collections.

In a statement from the House of Dior, the company said, “The soprano henceforth embodies the audacity, grace and elegance of Dior style, a femininity continually reinvented. More than ever, this alliance celebrates the privileged ties that have always united the House with the magic of art and music, as illustrated by the Mozart, Verdi and Debussy models designed by the founding-couturier for the Dior spring-summer 1950 line. An exaltation of dreams, joy and creative beauty.”

Yende took to social media and noted that she was the first opera singer to be an ambassador of the brand which currently has Rachel Zegler, Dilraba Dilmurat, Robert Pattinson, Cha Eun-woo, Emma Raducanu, and Jenna Ortega, as Global ambassadors.

The soprano recently finished a production of “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” at the Paris Opera and is now set to ring in the New Year at the Polish National Opera in a concert with Michael Fabiano.
