Pretty Yende has canceled her upcoming concerts with the Princeton Symphony.

The soprano took to social media and said, “I am so sorry to miss you Princeton. I’m not well and I’m grateful for Angel Blue to be with y’all for the performances. Hopefully, some other time when I feel better.”

Yende was set to perform Barber’s “Knoxville: Summer of 1915, Op. 24” and selections from “La Traviata” and “Il Barbiere di Siviglia.” Angel Blue will perform the same program except for the selection from Rossini. Instead, she will sing “Vissi d’arte” from “Tosca.”

Rossen Milanov conducts the program which also includes music by Mascagni and Copeland. The concert will be performed on Jan. 14 and 15, 2023.

Yende returns to the stage in February for a production of “Carmen” in Berlin.
