Polish National Opera to Stream ‘Tosca’ Starring Ewa Vesin

The Polish National Opera is set to stream “Tosca” in time for Valentine’s Day.

The production will stream on Feb. 14 at 11 a.m. Polish time and will be available on the company’s official streaming platform for 24 hours.

The production by Barbara Wysocka will star Ewa Vesin in the title role, Mickael Spadaccini as Cavaradossi and Krzysztof Szumański as Baron Scarpia. Tadeusz Kozłowski conducts the stream.

The company also announced that it will stream a performance of Prokofiev’s “Romeo and Juliet” ballet on Feb. 25, 26, 27, and 28.

The Polish National Opera is currently streaming a number of opera performances and ballets via its VOD platform including productions of “Halka,” “The Haunted Manor” and “Paria.” It is also offering virtual tours on this same platform.
