The Polish National Opera and the Polish Television have signed a long-term collaboration.

The agreement was officially signed at the Teatr Wielki by Tomasz Sygut, Director General of Telewizja Polska, and Boris Kudlička, Director of the Teatr Wielki – National Opera in Warsaw. The collaboration initiated in the 2026-27 season and will continue in subsequent seasons.

In a statement, Sygut said, “The regular and long-term collaboration between Telewizja Polska and the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera is the first of its kind in the history of our country. Thanks to it, we are bringing the outstanding achievements of the national stage to a wider audience and enabling them to experience outstanding works of opera and ballet. Together, we are not only promoting high culture but also contributing to the development of a civic society, ”

Kudlička added, “We want the art of the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera to reach the widest possible audience. Our collaboration with Polish Television opens up new opportunities for us to present our performances and events to audiences across Poland. I believe that together we will combine the highest artistic standards with broad cultural accessibility.”

The institutions’ collaboration began with the broadcast of the Ballet Gala and is set to present such works as “Peter Grimes,” “The Best City in the World,” “Rigoletto,” and “Dracula.”
