Plácido Domingo has been named Honorary Professor of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Honorary President of the Shangyin Opera House.

The famed tenor-turned-conductor/baritone took to social media to share the news and said, “Thank you very much to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, its leadership, my friends and colleagues, for the Honorary Appointments and Naming, and for your warm reception. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.”

Domingo recently performed at the China Shanghai International Arts Festival 22nd Edition (CSIAF) alongside Jennifer Rowley. He next performs in South Korea, Budapest, Verona, Baden-Baden, Salzburg, Paris, and Bulgaria.
