Placido Domingo has announced its upcoming Tokyo tour with Saioa Hernandez.

The tenor announced via social media that he will sing two concerts in Tokyo alongside the Spanish soprano.

The first concert on Jan 28 will be held at the Forum Concert while the Jan. 31 concert will take place at the Suntory Hall Tokyo. Both concerts will be led by Eugene Kohn conducting the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.

Domingo and Hernandez first collaborated at the Semperoper Dresden in a new production of Verdi’s “Nabucco” where both were makiong house debuts. They then went on to collaborate at the Teatro alla Scala where Domingo celebrated his 50th anniversary.

Hernandez is currently at the Teatro alla Scala for “Tosca” while Domingo returns to the Berlin Staatsoper for “La Traviata.”
