
Piotr Beczała & Sonya Yoncheva Lead Metropolitan Opera’s ‘Andrea Chénier’

The Metropolitan Opera is set to present Giordano’s “Andrea Chénier” for the first time since 2014.
The opera will be presented six times between Nov. 24 and Dec. 13, 2025, and will star tenor Piotr Beczała, soprano Sonya Yoncheva, and baritone Igor Golovatenko.
The opera will reunite Beczała and Yoncheva after performing in a production of “Fedora.”
Principal Guest Conductor Daniele Rustioni takes the podium.
The opera will be presented in Nicolas Joël’s production, which premiered on April 6, 1996.
“Andrea Chénier” will be presented Live in HD on Saturday, Dec. 13. The Nov. 24, Dec. 3, and Dec. 13 performances will be broadcast live on Metropolitan Opera Radio on the SiriusXM app.
