Piotr Beczala has postponed two upcoming recitals.

The tenor announced that he will continue his recovery from vocal issues for another week on medical advice.

He said, “Dear friends, we all don’t like this kind of news, but following my doctor’s advice, I am forced to continue my recovery for another week. Tomorrow’s recital at the Kölner Philharmonie and Sunday’s recital at the Musikverein Graz will both take place at a different dates of which I will inform you in advance. Your Piotr”

The news comes after Beczala had already returned from vocal rest for a concert gala and had performed some recitals this month.

Last month Beczala announced that he had vocal issues due to a blood vessel burst. He was forced to cancel performances of Verdi’s “Un Ballo In Maschera” and “La Traviata.”

The tenor is set to return to the stage on Oct. 20 for recitals in Spain.
