Piotr Beczala Cancels Christmas Concert

Piotr Beczala has canceled his Christmas concert scheduled for Nov. 30, 2019.

The tenor announced via social social that due to illness he would not be able to sing the concert scheduled for the Frauenkirche Dresden.

Beczala stated, “Dear Friends, I am sorry to inform that I am forced to cancel my performance during the Christmas Concert in Dresden on November 30. The reason is a nasty cold I caught. Now I have to spend the next few days curing myself. I hope that the home remedies – garlic, ginger, lemon and honey syrup – will help me get better soon. Love, Piotr.”

Beczala is currently in rehearsals for “Halka” at the Theater an der Wien with Corinne Winters where they will premiere a production of by Mariusz Treliński.  The tenor will also sing a concert in Vienna in January and a revival production of “Lohengrin” at the Wiener Staatsoper.
