By Francisco Salazar

The Phoenicia International Festival of The Voice has postponed its Drive-In “Tosca” previously scheduled for August 29, 2020 due to Hurricane Laura.

The festival announced via social media stating, “Due to the weather caused by the remanence of Hurricane Laura, The Festival is POSTPONING THE SHOW till SUNDAY (August 30) at 8:30 pm. Same show, same time, different day. All tickets already purchased are STILL VALID for the show on Sunday.  We want to make the show as enjoyable as possible for all the audience, and Sunday’s weather looks like the best chance for that to happen. The show will go on, on SUNDAY!!!”

The Puccini opera is set to star Elizabeth Blancke-Biggs in the title role, Jonathan Tetelman as Cavaradossi, Paul GL Grosvenor as Angelotti, and Kyle Albertson as Scarpia under the direction of Audrey Saint-Gil. The new production is set to be directed by Maria Todaro.
