Petra Radulović Wins Miloš Karadaglić Foundation Scholarship
By Francisco SalazarSoprano Petra Radulović has been awarded the first scholarship of the Miloš Karadaglić Foundation.
The soprano was awarded the prize alongside cellist Kosta Popović and Audio-visual artist Aleksandra Prelević Palladino.
Founded in 2023, the Miloš Karadaglić Foundation aims to contribute to the development of cultural and artistic creativity in Montenegro and the region.
In a statement noted the Miloš Karadaglić Foundation said, “This is a great day for us as a Foundation and a confirmation of the significant artistic potential that exists in Montenegro. We received a large number of high-quality applications, and the decision of the jury consisting of: Timothy Jones, director of studies at the Royal Academy of Music (president of the jury), Katherine Enticott, director of the Enticott Music Management agency and Miloš Karadaglić, guitarist and president of the Foundation, was not easy. We are additionally motivated to continue our mission and to give support and a chance to as many artists from Montenegro and the region as possible, because the quality that exists is unquestionable and deserves its place on the international art scene.”
Radulović is a first-year master’s student at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and is working with professors Helena Malkovska and Hartmut Keil. She was a member of Staatsoper Hannover’s opera studio from 2021 until 2023 and has performed at teh Verbier Festival, Operosa Montenegro Opera Festival, and Schönbrunn Palace Theatre.
