Peter Scott Drackley & Michel de Souza Lead Nevill Holt Opera’s 2022 Season
By Francisco SalazarUK’s Nevill Holt Opera has announced its 2022 season featuring two opera productions and a major concert performance.
The season opens with Puccini’s “La Bohème” starring Francesca Chiejina, Peter Scott Drackley, Alexandra Oomens, Christopher Nairne, Dominic Sedgwick, and Dingle Yandell. Mathilda du Tillieul Mcnicol directs the production with Nicholas Chalmers conducting.
Performance Dates: June 8-14, 2022
Katie Bray, Michel de Souza, and Liam Bonthrone star in Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville.” They are joined by Grant Doyle and Andri Bjorn Robertsson with Dinis Sousa conducting. Anna Morrissey directs the work.
Performance Dates: June 23-29, 2022
Scotland’s leading Baroque ensemble the Dunedin Consort will perform Händel’s “Acis and Galatea” on period instruments with John Butt OBE conducting. The cast will include Nicholas Mulroy, Rachel Redmond, Christopher Purves, Anthony Gregory, and Nicholas Scott.
