Peter Barber Headlines Opera Buffs’ ‘Stay In / Sing Out’ Online Series
By David SalazarThe Opera Buffs have announced a brand new series entitled “Stay In / Sing Out.”
The online showcase provides artists to present their stories and present a unique online recording.
The first in this series is bass Peter Barber who was set to become an Apprentice Singer at Santa Fe Opera prior to the COVID-19 lockdown. Instead, he used his skills to produce a series of a cappella “group” videos in which he performs several voice parts simultaneously.
For the first entry in the series, Barber presented “My Future” by Billie Eilish.”
“My goal is to cover my favorite songs of all time, across all genres, and put a bass spin on it.
In September, Barber is set to head to the Academy of Vocal Arts.
