Perm Opera Appoints New Chief Director & Music Director

Perm Opera in Russia has announced Migran Agadzhanyan as the new Chief Director and Music Director.

Agadzhanyan is a singer, conductor, and pianist who graduated from the St. Petersburg State Conservatory and is the founder of the St. Petersburg Youth Symphony Orchestra, with which he actively tours.

He has studied under Renata Scotto and Giuseppe Sabbatini and has performed with the Mariinsky Theater, the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Covent Garden Theater, the Lyrica Opera of Chicago, the Oper de Lyon, Oper Graz, and the Los Angeles Opera.

He first came to international attention in 2018 when he won Second Prize at Plácido Domingo’s Operalia.
