Pentatone Announces Michael Fabiano’s First Solo Album

Pentatone has announced Michael Fabiano‘s first solo album.

The company revealed that the tenor’s first solo album will feature music by Donizetti and Verdi.

In a press release the company announced that the album will reveal “the strong ties between these two composers.” Among the operas featured on the CD will be Donizetti’sLucia di Lammermoor,” “Poliuto” and “Maria di Rohan,” Verdi’s “Rigoletto,” “Oberto,” Ernani,” “I Due Foscari,” and “Un ballo in maschera.”

As an added treat, the album will also include the rarely performed “Qual sangue sparsi” from the original St. Petersburg edition of “La Forza del Destino.”

Fabiano is accompanied by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and London Voices, conducted by Bel Canto specialist Enrique Mazzola.

Pentatone will release the album on May 17 beginning a long term collaboration with the company.
