Pensacola Opera Announces 2022 Season

Pensacola Opera has announced its 2022 season, which will mark the company’s 39th anniversary.

The season will kick off with a production of “The Magic Flute.” Audiences will hear David Blalock as Tamino with Bizou Chang as Pamina. As the Queen of the Night, Elisa Sunshine will star. Other cast members include Ron Dukes, Alyssa Dessoye, Robert Hartfield, Robert Mellon, Emily Michiko Jenson, Erin Alfrod, and Imara Miles, among others.

Dennis Whitehead Darling will direct while Cody Martin conducts.

Performance Dates: Jan. 28 & 30, 2022

In March, the company will turn its attention to Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville” with a cast headlined by Sidney Outlaw in the title role. Other cast members include Jonah Hoskins, Matthew Burns, Jack Chandler, Imara Miles, Robert Hatfield, and Camille Sherman as Rosina.

Frances Rabalais directs while Jerome Shannon conducts.

Performance Dates: March 11 & 13, 2022
