Pene Pati has signed an exclusive contract with Warner Classics.

Per an official press statement, the first release on the label is scheduled for Spring 2022 and will see the tenor perform a recital of arias from Romantic operas by Verdi, Rossini, Donizetti, Meyerbeer, Gounod, Massenet and Benjamin Godard, recorded with the Orchestre national Bordeaux Aquitaine and conductor Emmanuel Villaume.

“Pene Pati is in the great tradition of lyric tenors. First and foremost, there is the beauty and warmth of his voice, which ascends with apparent ease to the proverbial top C, but there is also his elegance and style in both Italian and French opera – and his sunny, expansive personality, which wins the public’s heart as soon as he walks on stage. Pene has embarked on a tremendous career, and all of us at Warner Classics are looking forward to working with him for many years,” said President of Warner Classics and Erato Alain Lanceron.

Pati is a graduate of San Francisco Opera’s Adler Program where, under Music Director Nicola Luisotti, he made an acclaimed debut in the role of Duca di Mantua in Verdi’s “Rigoletto” in 2017. The tenor has further shown promise, and has subsequently performed at the Opéra national de Bordeaux, Opéra national de Paris, and the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow.

Pati is slated to make his big Wiener Staatsoper debut in the role of Lord Riccardo Percy in Donizetti’s “Anna Bolena” in February 2022 alongside Diana Damrau, Erwin Schrott, and Ekaterina Semenchuk. The tenor is also scheduled to appear at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Teatro San Carlo, San Diego Opera, and Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, among others.
