Opéra National du Rhin has announced that the Slovakian tenor Pavol Breslik has canceled his recital in Strasbourg on Oct. 21, 2020. The opera house stated that the reason for cancelation is the indisposition, not COVID-19 related.

The cancelation comes after Breslik pulled out of the last two performances of Bizet’s “Les Pêcheurs de Perles” on Oct. 19 and Oct. 24, 2020 at the Staatsoper Berlin.

Breslik recently performed the role of Hans in Smetana’s “The Bartered Bride” and the role of Tamino in Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte” at the Bayerische Staatsoper. The tenor is slated to perform Alfredo Germont in Verdi’s “La Traviata” at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in December and will take on the role of Flamand in Richard Strauss’ “Capriccio” at Opéra National de Paris in January and February 2021.
