
Paul Haas Named Music Director of Jackson Symphony Orchestra
By Francisco SalazarPaul Haas has been named the fourth Music Director of the Jackson Symphony.
The conductor and composer will step into the new role at the opening of the 2025-26 season.
In a statement, Haas said, “I’m honored and energized to be joining The Jackson Symphony. This is an orchestra with deep roots and tremendous potential. I look forward to collaborating with the board, staff, musicians and community to expand our impact and create unforgettable musical experiences.”
Haas has held a 15-year tenure as Music Director of the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas and has also performed with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. He has also held roles with the Brooklyn Philharmonic and the National Symphony Orchestra and has appeared as a guest conductor with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, the Indianapolis Symphony, and the Omaha Symphony.
