The Opera Grand Avignon has announced its 2022-23 season. Here is a look at the vocal performances for season.

Concert 

Bertrand Cuiller conducts Handel’s “Rinaldo” in a production by Claire Dancoisne. Paul Figuier, Blandine de Sansal, Maïlys de Villoutreys, Aurore Bucher, Timothée Varon, Rita Tchenko and Marion Zaboitzeff.

Performance Dates: Nov. 20 & 22, 2022

“La Sérénade” will be conductedcby Débora Waldman and directed by Jean Lacornerie. The cast will include Thomas Dolié, Elodie Kimmel, Enguerrand de Hys, Vincent Billier, Carine Séchaye, Julie Mossay, Jean François Baron, and Gilles Vajou.

Performance Dates: Dec. 30, 2022-Jan. 1, 2023

Thomas de Pourquery Supersonic will be performed by Thomas de Pourquery, Laurent Bardainne, Fabrice Martinez, Arnaud Roulin, Frederick Galiay, and Edward Perraud.

Performance Dates: Jan. 31, 2023

“Three Lunar Seas” will be conducted by Léo Warynski and directed by Frédéric Roels. The work will star Eduarda Melo, Jess Dandy, Edwin Fardini, Patrizia Ciofi, Ari Soto, and Kate Huggett.

Performance Dates: May 5 & 7, 2023

Marie Gautrot, Marc Laho, Nicolas Cavallier, Jacques-Greg Belobo, and Eric Martin-Bonnet star in Saint-Saens’ “Samson et Dalila” with Nicolas Krüger conducting and Paco Azorin directing.

Performance Dates: June 9 & 11, 2023

The season ends with Les Voix Solidaires, a gala concert.

Operetta

Pierre Dumoussaud is set to conduct Offenbach’s “Le Voyage dans la lune” with Olivier Fredj directing. The cast will star Héloïse Mas, Sheva Tehoval, Matthieu Lécroart, Eric Vignau, Thibaut Desplantes, Christophe Poncet de Solages, Enguerrand de Hys, Marie Lenormand, and Ludivine Gombert.

Opera Participatif

Mozart’s “Bastien et Bastienne” will star Pauline Feracci, Yoann Le Lan, and Alban Legos. Mathilde Dromard directs.

Federico Santi conducts “Les Rêveurs de la lune” with Sandra Pocceschi and Giacomo Strada directing. Aurélie Jarjaye, Alexia Macbeth, Pierre-Antoine Chaumien, and Marc Scoffoni star.
