The Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liege, Belgium will premiere a semi-staged production of Verdi’s “La Traviata” on April 8.

The production, which is conducted by music director Speranza Scappucci, is set to star Patrizia Ciofi as Violetta and Dmitry Korchak as Alfredo. Giovanni Meoni will round out the cast as Germont.

Audiences will be able to access the performance until April 18 for a price of 18 euros.

The opera is the first of three streams planned for the month. The company is also set to present a concert featuring soprano Saioa Hernández and conductor Daniel Oren on April 15, and another concert featuring Paolo Arrivabeni conducting Mozart, Tchaikovsky, and Schubert.

The Opéra Royal de Wallonie recently canceled its production of “I Lombardi” scheduled for April due to the COVID-19 crisis.
