Patricia Racette, Lucas Meachem, Marjorie Owens, Nicholas Brownlee Headline The Dallas Opera’s 2024 Streaming Slate

The Dallas Opera has announced that it will be releasing free digital streams of its recent productions over the course of the next six months.

First up is “Rigoletto” from 2022, directed by Tomer Zvulun and starring George Gagnidze, Madison Leonard, and René Barbera. Emmanuel Villaume conducts.

Streaming Dates: April 1 – May 31, 2024

Then comes “Hansel and Gretel,” also from 2022, directed by Doug Fitch. Emmanuel Villaume conducted a cast starring Kangmin Justin Km, Patricia Racette, Elena Villalón, and Mark Delavan.

Streaming Dates: May 1 – June 30, 2024

The February 2023 recording of “Das Rheingold” with Nicholas Brownlee, Brenton Ryan, Michael Mayes, Amanda Echalaz, and Lindsay Amman is next on the slate. Tomer Zvulun was the director of the production, which was conducted by Emmanuel Villaume.

Streaming Dates: June 1 – July 31, 2024

Next up is the March 2023 recording of “Così fan tutte,” directed by Michael Cavanaugh and conducted by Elizabeth Askren. The opera starred Lucas Meachem, David Portillo, Rod Gilfry, Diana Newman, Caitlin Gotimer, and Kayleigh Decker.

Streaming Dates: July 1 – August 31, 2024

The November 2023 premiere of “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly” will be next up on the slate. That opera starred Lucas Meachem, Sasha Cooke, Richard Croft, and Diana Breiwick. Leonard Foglia directed.

Streaming Dates: August 1 – Sept. 30, 2024

The final opera to stream will be “Elektra” with Marjorie Owens, Angela Meade, Alfred Walker, Jill Grove, Clifton Forbis, Alexandra Loutsion, and Kyle Albertson. The David McVicar production was conducted by Emmanuel Villaume.

Streaming Dates: Sept. 1 – Oct. 31, 2024
