The New York City Opera has announced its 2019-20 season.

The season opens in September with a concert that will celebrate the company’s 75^th anniversary season. This concert will be presented free to audiences at Bryant Park and will showcase scenes and arias from many of the company’s legendary productions.

Performance Date: Sept. 9, 2019

The company will then continue its Ópera en Español series with a double bill of “O Arame: A Galicia Opera” and “El Amor Brujo.”

Anna Caterina Antonacci returns to New York for a concert performances of “Gloriana.” This will be the first time in 40 years that the Britten opera appears in New York.

Performance Date: April 19, 2020 

Mascagni’s “Isabeau” will get two performances in a co-production with Opera Holland Park.

Performance Dates: May 29, 31, 2019

The company will showcase a pride concert to cap its season as curated by Tobias Picker. It will star Patricia Racette and other members of the LGBTQ+ community from the company.
