Pasadena Chorale to Present ‘Songs of Love’

By David Salazar

The Pasadena Chorale will present “Songs of Love” on Wednesday, March 25, 2025  at San Marino Community Church.

The program, which explores themes of romantic devotion, loss, and the human experience, features music by Abbie Betinis, Ted Masur, Samuel Barber, Eric Whitacre, Don McLean, Billy Joel, and others, performed by an ensemble of seventeen singers. The High Notes, the Chorale’s youth ensemble, will also appear on the program.

“Composers have always been inspired by love,” said Artistic Director Jeffrey Bernstein, per an official press release. “The music on this program swoons with beautiful harmony, aches with loss, and joyously depicts euphoria. It is that emotional range that is so inspiring.”

The showcases commences at 7:30 p.m.
